In todays workshop we continued with editing our creative projects. I had arranged an interview with the general manager of The duke of yorks for friday this week for my group.
Questions:
So i decided to write A voice over script as a backup and to also allow the editing to have a fluid narrative. i felt that if i wrote a summary of the points and information we wanted to raise we could follow the plot of that.

Our tutor made his way round the class and gave feedback on what we had edited already. Our feedback was reasonably positive which was encouraging. We were told we had a lot of footage which was good but that the footage we have accumulated was very impactful and visually interesting. this was an achievement for us as we were told that our footage was very telling and allowed us to tell the story without needed a commentary. - *This was reassuring to hear as we were worried about the short amount of time we had left ourselves to do the interview, thankfully the interview went reasonably well and we managed to get a lot of footage and commentary for our film.
We were given a few tips on the editing, we were told to make all our cutaways and archive footage a lot longer to give the audience time to process the images they see on screen. We were also taught about transition and utilising the opportunities within transitional editing and the images we have caught on film, for example a bus going past the screen gave us opportunity to use this footage as a wipe to the next frame. -*This has proved to be extremely useful in assuring the fluidity of our narrative both visually and contextually.
We were told about the exportation guidlines and how to hand in our portfolio, this was helpful as it allowed us to finalise our portfolio and prepare for submission.
